Faith Community Church

Our Beginnings...

The seeds of Faith Community Church International date back to March of 1990 when the church, (formerly called The Marketplace Teaching, Healing and Training Center) first opened it's doors to the Body of Christ. With healing services held twice a month conducted by founding Pastor Rev. Ellen Comis, The Marketplace continued to grow and before long began Sunday church services on a weekly basis.

Prior to her ministry at The Marketplace, Rev. Ellen Comis ministered to the Body of Christ for over 10 years as an evangelist and teacher conducting healing crusades and teaching seminars together with her son Gary and his wife Doreen throughout the New York, New Jersey areas.

Throughout the years, God opened many doors for Rev. Ellen to reach thousands of people with the message of faith and hope and as a result many have testified to having received healing - physically, emotionally and spiritually through her ministry. Rev. Ellen continues her ministry today as President and Director of Ellen Comis Ministries and The Marketplace Divine Healing Center.

A New Generation...

At the start of this new millennium, faithful attendees of The Marketplace Teaching, Healing and Training Center experienced new beginnings. A new pastor, a new vision and a new church name. Faith Community Church International.

Rev. Gary Comis, assumed the position of Senior Pastor and began immediately to implement vision that would bring the church to a new level of growth and influence. With his wife Doreen by his side, together they are committed to equip and position this church to minister effectively to the needs of their surrounding communities.

Growing to Serve...

From innovative children's programs, to effective discipleship courses and leadership seminars, ministry took on new meaning as the church took on the challenge to provide relevant ministry to its members.

Building upon New Testament principles of devotion to God's Word, one another, worship and prayer, every church outreach and ministry is designed to encourage and promote a sense of community with one another. As a result, more than 50% of the church's congregation are actively involved in the church's ministries.

A Place for Everyone...

The caring atmosphere, quality leadership, and ministry outreaches of Faith Community Church Int'l. attracts people from all walks of life. This diversity of cultural and ethnic backgrounds adds to the sense of community that is experienced as this body unites in one voice to worship and honor the Lord. Believing in the New Testament principle of equipping the saints for the work of the ministry, Pastor Gary, together with his wife Doreen, encourage the spiritual growth and potential inside every believer. As a result, they endeavor to release God's people to discover and fulfill their personal possibilities in Christ.
